Does not fit properly
You can tell that the end has been machined but not enough. Will need to be filed alittle more to fit.

These are getting hard to find.
I used to see these at most sporting goods stores but now they are getting hard to find. Ordered these thru amazon and saved myself a lot of time and money looking for them locacally. I use these to connect a remote fuel tank to generator. Good product and not plastic-made just like the older style mercury outboard connectors.

Ok, if you're on a budget
I got these to replace a fuel line + tank that I had previously though was dirty and causing clogs to my fuel system. I was wrong, and this was an unnecessary purchase. Anyhoo. It works fine for the most part. Doesn't leak gas or anything. It's light weight and between this and plastic tanks you can definitely trim off a good 30-50 lbs of extra weight if you've got two heavy metal gas tanks like I did. The biggest problem with it is the connectors don't lock into place. You turn them in and they stay, but they don't lock. Ive been out half a dozen times and the connector has come loose two times. Wasn't a big deal but did freak me out the first time when my engine just died in the middle of the lake. I imagine if you're on a river in rough water, this would be far more uncool. I'm pretty sure it's this female part of the fuel connection that is the problem with not locking, not the male part on the hose. Maybe I need a different male connection, but I don't see any locking mechanisms for this either way. Again, it's a suitable replacement if you are trying to save money on your boat any way you can... which is most of us.
